List of Gloves

This is a list of every piece of hand armor in the Golden Sun series that the games categorize as "Gloves". Mechanically, in Golden Sun and The Lost Age, they are distinguished from other armor types by their capacity to be worn by all Adepts in the game. In comparison, Shields can only be worn by the "warrior-style" Adepts Isaac, Garet, Felix, and Piers, and Bracelets can only be worn by the "caster-style" Adepts Ivan, Mia, Jenna, and Sheba.

In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, even though the eight playable Adepts are more diverse and adhere less rigidly to previous definitions of "warrior" and "caster", all eight of them can wear gloves: Matthew, Karis, Tyrell, Rief, Amiti, Sveta, Eoleo, and Himi.

Introduced in Golden Sun

Padded Gloves: Adds 2 Defense. A common hand armor purchased for 10 coins at Vale (and then Vault) in Golden Sun, and is part of Isaac, Garet, and Jenna's starting equipment. In The Lost Age, it is sold at Daila (and then Madra), and is part of Felix and Jenna's starting equipment. Sells for 7 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is purchased at Patcher's Place (and then Carver's Camp), making it permanently unavailable once you follow the path through Konpa Cave's south exit. Is part of Matthew, Tyrell, Karis, and Rief's starting equipment.

Leather Gloves: Adds 10 Defense. A common hand armor purchased for 220 coins at Bilibin (and then Imil and Kolima Village) in Golden Sun, and is part of Mia's starting equipment. In The Lost Age, it is sold at Alhafra (and then Garoh). Sells for 165 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is purchased at Kaocho, making it permanently unavailable once you take off for the Clouds of Passaj. Is part of Eoleo's starting equipment.

Gauntlets: Adds 23 Defense. A common hand armor purchased for 1,600 coins at Altin (and then Kalay and Tolbi) in Golden Sun and at Kibombo in The Lost Age. Sells for 1,200 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is purchased at Te Rya Village (and then Border Town), making it permanently unavailable once you approach the Alchemy Dynamo's pedestal in Belinsk Ruins. Is part of Sveta's starting equipment.

Vambrace: Adds 27 Defense and 5 Attack. An Artifact hand armor found in a chest in Vault Cave. Sells for 1,350 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is found by inspecting the knight statue that faces the scorpion block in the Scorpio Room of Craggy Peak Ruins, making it permanently unavailable once you approach the Alchemy Dynamo's pedestal in Belinsk Ruins.

Battle Gloves: Adds 26 Defense and 8 Attack. An Artifact hand armor that is one of the prizes randomly won by tossing a Lucky Medal into the Lucky Medal Fountain in Tolbi. Sells for 1,575 coins.

War Gloves: Adds 32 Defense and 10 Attack. An Artifact hand armor purchased for 4,000 coins in Lunpa in Golden Sun and at Izumo in The Lost Age. Sells for 3,000 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is purchased in Saha Town, making it permanently unavailable once you approach the Alchemy Dynamo's pedestal in Belinsk Ruins.

Spirit Gloves: Adds 34 Defense and 5 Power to all elements (Venus, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter). An Artifact hand armor found in a chest in Kalay Tunnel after completing Lunpa Fortress. (No relation to the other Spirit Gloves listed below.) Sells for 3,900 coins.

Aura Gloves: Adds 36 Defense, and can be Used in battle to increase all Resistances on one ally by 40. An Artifact hand armor that drops from Magicores in Suhalla Desert in Golden Sun and in Tundaria Tower and early Islet Cave in The Lost Age, both at a 1/128 chance (or 1/32 if slain using an offensive Mercury Djinni). Sells for 4,875 coins; if its Use function is broken, it will cost 1,625 coins to repair, and the item will sell for 3,250 coins until then.
• In Dark Dawn, it is found in a chest in Talon Peak, making it permanently unavailable once you approach the Alchemy Dynamo's pedestal in Belinsk Ruins.

Crafted Gloves: Adds 35 Defense and 5 Attack. An Artifact hand armor that is one of the prizes randomly won by tossing a Lucky Medal into the Lucky Medal Fountain in Lemuria. Sells for 3,450 coins.

Aerial Gloves: Adds 37 Defense, 30 Agility, and 20 Jupiter Power. An Artifact hand armor that is one of the random outcomes (with 20% probability) of bringing a Sylph Feather to the Blacksmith in Yallam, which costs 5,400 coins to then buy. Sells for 4,050 coins.

Spirit Gloves: Adds 40 Defense and 20 maximum PP. An Artifact hand armor found in a chest in Shaman Village. (No relation to the other Spirit Gloves listed above.) Sells for 5,400 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is found in a chest in a secret room under the throne in Ayuthay during the Grave Eclipse.

Titan Gloves: Adds 43 Defense and 30 HP. An Artifact hand armor that is one of the random outcomes (with 25% probability) of bringing a Golem Core to the Blacksmith in Yallam, which costs 8,100 coins to then buy. Sells for 6,075 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it drops from Brutal Trolls in Burning Island Cave and Gaia Falls Islet at a 1/128 chance (or 1/32 if slain using an offensive Mars Djinni).

Big Bang Gloves: Adds 47 Defense and 40 Mars Power. An Artifact hand armor that is one of the random outcomes (with 15% probability) of bringing an Orihalcon to the Blacksmith in Yallam, which costs 10,200 coins to then buy. Sells for 7,650 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is one of the random outcomes of bringing an Orihalcon to the Blacksmith in Champa, which is crafted for free.

Riot Gloves: Adds 45 Defense, 15 Attack, and 20% to Unleash rate. An Artifact hand armor that drops from Minos Knights in Yampi Desert Cave at a 1/128 chance (or 1/32 if slain using an offensive Jupiter Djinni). Sells for 7,800 coins.

Slap Glove: Adds 24 Defense and bestows the Slap Psynergy. An Artifact hand armor that is given automatically in a cutscene in Kolima Junction. Plot-critical item that will disappear after approaching the Magma Orb in Talon Peak, and cannot be sold or dropped beforehand.

Umbra Gauntlet: Adds 45 Defense, 20 Jupiter Resistance, and 20 Mercury Resistance, but can only be equipped by Sveta. An Artifact body piece found in a chest in Tonfon's palace vault. Plot-critical item that is mandatory to equip during Apollo Sanctum, and cannot be sold or dropped.
