A Kaocho dumpling is a consumable item in the Golden Sun series, first introduced in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. Like most consumable items, each party member can hold up to 30 Kaocho dumplings in a single inventory slot. When used, a Kaocho dumpling restores 100 Hit Points to a single party member. Kaocho dumplings can be bought for 50 coins and sold for 37 coins.

Locations

As their name suggests, Kaocho dumplings are only found in Kaocho.

Kaocho's Tea Shop sells Kaocho Dumplings, Plump Dumplings, and Rice Rations. However, it only opens for business after Amiti joins Matthew's party.

The Tea Shop closes again after the Grave Eclipse begins. Fortunately, the Foul Gluttons found there drop Kaocho dumplings upon defeat.

Hungry man sidequest

Kaocho dumplings are necessary in order for players to get the Mars Djinni Lava. In Kaocho, there is an NPC sitting by the stream, blocking access to the Djinni. Using Insight will reveal that he is hungry for one of the dumplings. Giving a Kaocho dumpling to him will cause him to move, allowing players to get to the Djinni.
