A Heavy Armlet (ヴァンアームレット, Van Armlet?) is a common Bracelet-class arm equipment available throughout the Golden Sun series.

In Golden Sun and The Lost Age

In Golden Sun, Heavy Armlets are sold by armor vendors in Kalay and Tolbi, and can be equipped by Ivan and Mia. In Golden Sun, the Heavy Armlet will be a solid upgrade should Ivan and Mia have Armlets equipped. However, should they both have Gauntlets, the player may want to reconsider, as the Gauntlets are only a few points weaker than the Heavy Armlet. Buying Heavy Armlets in this situation would depend on the money reserves the player has.

In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, they are sold in Yallam, and can be equipped by Jenna and Sheba. In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Heavy Armlets can first be bought in Yallam, meaning they are available to buy as soon as you get the Lemurian Ship to sail the Great Eastern Sea with. While it wouldn't replace the superior Bone Armlet one of your Adepts might be wearing, it would technically be an okay replacement for an Armlet the other Adept might be wearing and be all the better as a buy if they are wearing anything below that. However, in Champa, which is also accessible at this time, a stronger and twice as expensive Silver Armlet can be bought in its place. For comparison, the Silver Armlet gives the same defensive boost as the Bone Armlet. Thus, the player may prefer to bypass the Heavy Armlet and purchase a Silver Armlet. However, both these options can be bypassed by forging Clear Bracelets from Tear Stones. Clear Bracelets are both stronger and cheaper than the Silver Armlet.

In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, Heavy Armlets are sold in Te Rya Village and Belinsk, and can be equipped by Karis, Rief, Amiti, and Himi. In Dark Dawn, the player will have encountered enough Artifacts by this point that several of the Mage-style Adepts could have stronger gear than the Heavy Armlet. Thus, the amount of Heavy Armlets the player desires would depend largely on their distribution of gear,as well as personal preference. Once the player reaches Morgal, they will be able to find stronger Artifacts throughout the region to replace whatever hand armor their mage-style Adepts have.
